Convert any hourly wage into annual, monthly, biweekly and weekly pay — instantly.
Gross pay before taxes. See the Take Home Pay Calculator for after-tax numbers. Estimates only — not tax advice.
How the conversion works
The math is simple multiplication: hourly rate × hours per week × weeks per year. A $25/hour wage at 40 hours across 52 weeks equals $52,000 a year. The default assumes you are paid for every week of the year — if you take unpaid time off, lower the weeks figure.
Reference table: common hourly wages
| Hourly | Per year | Per month | Per week |
|---|---|---|---|
| $15 | $31,200 | $2,600 | $600 |
| $20 | $41,600 | $3,467 | $800 |
| $25 | $52,000 | $4,333 | $1,000 |
| $30 | $62,400 | $5,200 | $1,200 |
| $35 | $72,800 | $6,067 | $1,400 |
All figures assume 40 hours × 52 weeks and are gross (before tax). For after-tax numbers, take the annual figure to the Take Home Pay Calculator.
What salaried employees should know
If you are comparing a salaried offer against your current hourly job, divide the salary by 2,080 hours (40 × 52) to get the true hourly equivalent. A $55,000 salary works out to about $26.44/hour — but remember salaried roles rarely pay overtime, while hourly roles do. A slightly lower hourly rate with guaranteed overtime can out-earn a higher flat salary.
Gross vs. take-home: the gap to expect
The yearly numbers above are gross pay. After federal income tax, FICA (7.65% from your side) and any state tax, most workers keep roughly 72–80% of gross. A $52,000 gross year typically nets around $40,000–$42,000 depending on your state and deductions — check the exact split with the take-home calculator before signing anything.
Frequently asked questions
How much is $20 an hour per year?

Do I multiply by 2080 or 2000?

Is overtime included in this conversion?
No — this is base pay only. Regular overtime hours should be added separately with the Overtime Pay Calculator.
